Stairs in the sidewalk on both sides of the street for the entire block. A mural was painted on the wall of the Theresa S. Mahler Early Education School along side the stairs by artist Mona Caron in 2006.

Officially, this block is tied with Filbert Street west of Leavenworth Street as the steepest street in the city. Unofficially, these streets aren't the steepest.
