A unique wood and concrete stairway winding its way up a newly landscaped hillside. There are two small seating areas along the stairs, each with a single tiny round concrete bench.
The top of the stairs offers panoramic views all the way from Balboa Park to downtown and Bernal Heights.

As of January 2023, the hillside surrounding the stairs is being landscaped thanks to the work of the Friends of Peru Avenue Stairway.

The stairs were probably built in the late 1970s or early 1980s.
